What to Expect

Every private and group booking is handled with care from the first enquiry to the final farewell. Here is how a typical session unfolds.

  1. Step 01

    Welcome & Briefing

Your group is welcomed to our grounds and introduced to our master falconers. A comprehensive safety briefing and short talk on the history of falconry in Ireland sets the scene for the adventure ahead.

  2. Step 02

    Meet the Raptors

Get up close with our magnificent birds of prey — from the majestic Harris Hawk to the swift Peregrine Falcon. Learn about each bird's unique characteristics, training, and role in the ancient art of falconry.

  3. Step 03

    Hands-On Glove Flying

The centrepiece of the experience — each participant has the opportunity to fly a bird of prey to the glove under expert supervision. This is an intimate, personal moment that never fails to leave people speechless.

  4. Step 04

    Guided Field Walk

Take a guided walk through the stunning Irish landscape, flying the hawks in a more natural, open setting. Watch free-flight demonstrations and feel the thrill of a bird returning to the fist at full speed.

  5. Step 05

    Farewell & Photography

The session closes with a debrief, Q&A, and dedicated photography time with the birds. You are welcome to browse our gift shop and take home a lasting memento of your extraordinary day.

"We brought our three kids (aged 9, 12 and 15) and they were mesmerised the entire time. The falconers were so knowledgeable and patient. One of our best family experiences in Ireland, hands down."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Children aged 8 and above are welcome to participate in the hands-on glove flying. Younger children are welcome to attend and observe. All participants under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

What is the maximum group size?

Our standard packages accommodate up to 12 participants. For larger corporate events of 20 to 100+ guests, we bring in additional certified falconers to ensure everyone receives a personal, attentive experience. Please contact us for bespoke large-group arrangements.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Our sessions run in most weather conditions — falconry is an outdoor pursuit and a little Irish rain adds to the atmosphere! In cases of severe weather or high winds that could endanger the birds or participants, we will reschedule at no additional cost to you.

What should we wear and bring?

We recommend comfortable, outdoor clothing suitable for the season, and sturdy flat footwear (no heels). Waterproof jackets are advisable. All specialist equipment — gloves, lures, and hoods — is provided by us. Bring a camera and a sense of wonder!

How far in advance should we book?

We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance, particularly during the summer months and school holidays when demand is highest. For large corporate groups, we advise booking 6–8 weeks ahead to allow time for programme design and logistics.
